British citizenship ceremony (1/2)

So now, ladies and gentlemen, would those of you
who have chosen to swear the Oath of Allegiance
to almighty God, would you please stand? …swear by almighty God that on becoming a British citizen I will be faithful and bear true allegiance to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, her heirs and successors according to law. Thank you. Please remain standing. Now if I could ask the six of you
to please stand also. …do solemnly,
sincerely and truly declare and affirm that on becoming a British citizen I will be faithful and bear true allegiance to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, her heirs and successors according to law. I will give my loyalty
to the United Kingdom and respect its rights and freedoms. I’ll uphold its democratic values. I’ll observe its laws faithfully and fulfil my duties
and obligations as a British citizen. Thank you all. Please be seated. I welcome you all on behalf of the
Queen, government, parliament and people of the United Kingdom
to British citizenship and of course,
of Brent Borough Council by which is extended to you
the right to participate fully in civic society. Wahidullah… Congratulations. Welcome to Brent. Here’s your certificate and a small
present from the local council. And a smile for the camera.
