Injured in Sri Lanka – Local Family Look After Me. 🇱🇰

Yes, yes. This for?
Temple, temple, temple. You going to the big temple? Ah, big temple. The very big one? Oh. The Buddha’s Tooth? This one? Yes, yes. Ah, very nice. You go to make merit? Huh? Make merit? You a Buddhist? Oh. Yes, yes.
Ah, okay. Good. Today you have school or no school? Where are you going? I’m going to my hotel. I come from Colombo. What is the hotel name? Hotel name? This, Impala. This very easy. This one around here. You know Impala? Yes, yes. Yes, I go Impala. Okay. Nice to meet you. Nice to meet you too. See you. See you. Goodbye. Bye, bye. Have fun at the temple. Next time come to Sri Lanla. I’m already here. I come four times. Four times?
It’s a lot, right? Wow.
Four times. How many times you want me to come? Five, six, seven? I come more. I come this time, four. Another, come five. Ow. I’ve twisted my ankle. Argh. Okay? Ow. Okay. Okay. Thank you. Thank you my friend.
Okay? I think I can walk. I need to rest. Thank you very much. Thank you. No problem. Ow. Warm up. Yeah. Warm up. Warm up. Warm up. Stretch yeah? Like this. Okay?
Yeah. I’ll go to my hotel and rest. Ouch. Okay. Thank you. See you.
See you. Ah, I think I’ve got a bad sprain. Yeah I guess I won’t be doing any hiking any time soon. Damn. But, eh. I don’t even know if I can walk properly. My ankle’s throbbing right now. I’m gonna try and get up. Argh. Argh. Ow. Ow. Okay. Hi. Okay. I dunno what to do. I can barely walk. This road, bloody hell. Think this is the same road I crossed in the last Kandy video I made. Where I had to run across the road. Oh this trip’s ruined. Actually it is ruined. What can I do in Sri Lanka when I can’t walk? Where can I go? What can I do? This is a bloody write-off. Okay, I’m gonna see, see if they’ll let me cross the road. Sorry. Okay. Yer man’s, yer man’s hobbling. Sorry. Please let me through. Okay. Okay, seven seconds, six, five, I’m in so much pain, four, three, two, one, right let’s go. At least I’m getting across. Oh ya buster. Least I’m getting across, properly. Here, it starts raining as well. Yer man having all the bad luck. All the bad luck. Bringing the Scottish weather with him. Right, let’s have a look at this. Impala. City Hotel. Kandy. One wee sign. Let’s see what we’ve got. It’s stairs, innit? No elevator. Brilliant. Just what I need. Oh aye. Just what I bloody need. Fantastic. Oh, this is great. How are you? Pleased to meet you. My name is Dale. Come. I just sprained my ankle so I’m hobbling. I need maybe some ice or something if you have any. What happened sir? I, eh I was walking on the railway tracks and I twisted my, yeah. I fell like maybe this much and twisted it, so now in very much pain. Yeah.
Yes. Yes and maybe I need some ice or something. Ice. You have ice? Yeah? Come, I’ll give you. I will bring you, or? Oh. Oh, you have? Oh, very good. Thank you. Sir, you have a. Very, very good. Ah? You have a reservation here?
Yes. Eh, Dal?
Dale, yes yes. Okay, I did on the Booking. Booking dot com. Sir, if you do want us to get a gel for you, uh huh.
You can ask Sheikh will get, can get from the pharmacy. Okay, great. Thank you. And if you want to see a doctor you can always go to the lakeside. Okay. And there is a doctor down [inaudible]. Is there? Okay. Good. Okay. I will go to my room and rest for one hour and then see. There we have a restaurant. The restaurant is up the stairs? Ah, okay. I’m glad my room is on this floor. This one? 104. Nilaveli. Okay, rest. Okay. Fantastic. Okay. Okay. Okay, great. Thank you. Have a rest. Yeah, I will rest now, yeah, for sure. Maybe one hour or two hours I just not move. Okay. Thank you very much for helping me. Very nice of you. Thank you. Bye. Okay, it’s 4:30 PM. I’ve had four hours sleep. And this, after lying sleeping for four hours is what I’ve woken up to. You guys are probably getting sick of seeing my bloody bare feet. This is probably offending somebody. Eh, this is what a normal ankle looks like. And this is, with the massive tennis ball sticking out the bloody side, that’s what it looks like when you’ve fallen down the rail tracks. And the same, another tennis ball on the other side. It’s literately, excruciatingly painful there and there and I can barely stand on the damn thing. The bruising, not there yet. I think that will come later. And this, what is this? I reckon that’s where I’ve just smacked the, the wooden plank on the way down. Anyway, in Kandy, I was planning on meeting with a person who messaged me on Instagram. A very friendly local who offered to take me hiking around this area. Up to nice rocks, mountains, little remote villages where hardly any tourists go. And it was all gonna be fun. I was very excited about it. Sadly I had to message him like five or ten minutes ago, saying “look sorry mate, can’t do this anymore, game over, done my ankle in” He’s like “Bro, just stay there, I’ll come and pick you up.” “My mother’s a physiotherapist. We’ll go to her place of work and get you some treatment.” Amazing friendly. So I thought I probably wasn’t going to leave this room for a few days but it seems I am gonna be leaving, soon. He’s coming to pick me up, so. Yeah. Pleased to meet you. I’m Dale.
Pleased to meet you man. Pleased to meet you too. Thank you so much. Thank you, thank you. I’m very slow. Not fast the same before. This, you can see, is all swollen here. Okay, I’m getting in the front right? Okay, great. Ow. Did it hurt? It’s okay. [laughter]
[laughter] Okay. Thank you very much for all your help. Oh hi, sorry I didn’t, hi, pleased to meet you.
Samanthi. Your name?
Her friend. Your name is what?
Samanthi. Samanthi. And your name?
Masha. Masha. And I’m Dale. And this, Ravihara. Yeah.
Right, good. This is my husband.
We’re all friends now. Eh, can you just wear your seat belt? Oh yeah. No problem. Otherwise police will get problems and I’ve also had enough accidents [laughter] today. One is enough. So, still the pain is there, right? In your leg? It’s in my ankle, yeah. It’s very swollen. I’ve got like two tennis ball sized lumps on either side. So it’s like really swollen up. But I was really worried because I’m in this hotel room. There’s no water. There’s nothing and no elevator. And I’m thinking “Oh wow, I’m in a bad situation now.” I’m thankful you’ve come to rescue me. Ah, it’s nothing man, come on. Oh it is something. It’s definitely something. It’s definitely not nothing. [laughter] So first of all I’ll call my mother. Ah, okay. She will come up with a good plan. Okay. But today is weekend, so, this. That’s the problem. She already told me that we have less number of doctors there. Okay. But it is still open, yeah? Yeah. So I will call her now. And then after that, I suggest you to like not returning to the hotel, rather than come to our home. Oh really?
Yeah. Because otherwise it will be really hard for you. Oh wow. You’re letting me stay with you. That’s fine. That’s totally fine. That’s so nice. Thank you very much. Otherwise it will be really, really hard for you. Yeah. Foot there. Yeah, I can’t do anything. That’s the best thing that I can think of right now. Oh, thank you very much. Are you okay with it? I mean. Yeah of course, I mean it’s fantastic. That’s really, really generous. It’s totally fine. Let’s go to the same place where I picked you. Okay, yeah. Get my luggage. Yes, get your luggage. I just have small luggage. Actually, when I fell I was wearing my backpack which is maybe like 12 KG or something. And so it’s more weight to push down on my ankle. So how many days you’re staying in Sri Lanka? Oh, maybe seven more days. Hopefully I can, this can heal before, so I can do something. Let me give you a tip for helping me with the ice and everything. Okay sir. I’m leaving now. Thank you very much. Thank you. No problem. Thank you.
Thank you sir. Okay sir, I’m leaving now. Oh you’re leaving now? It was nice to see you. Thank you. Your hotel’s nice.
Sir, give me, I will take. Oh, thank you. Thank you again. Thank you. Thank you my friend. Thank you. See you next time. See you. Okay, that was the most difficult part done. [laughter] I’m so sad because I was planning maybe this one week making like ten different videos or something. And now I can make maybe just one video about me getting injured. [laughter] Life is like that. Yeah, yeah. Life is like that. Unpredictable and. Here’s the thing, I mean, um, you can stay as long as you like. Yes? I mean it’s totally fine. I don’t, I don’t want to impose, yeah.
No, no, it’s totally fine because the thing is like, you know, our home you will see that it’s big enough for like how many people? Masha, tell, tell him like. Really, uh? Maybe about. No, I’m not boasting, I mean. You’re boasting yeah? A little bit boasting. [laughter]
[laughter] The thing is like.
Okay. But I won’t be in your way when you’re trying to work and things like this? No, the thing is like the way that I’m working and everything it’s totally different from people, you know, ordinary people.
Yeah. I work, I’m a freelancer. Freelance, yeah, and you’re working on 3D modeling? 3D modeling and animation and content creation, like you, I mean something a little bit different but at the something close.
Yeah. You will see like I have my freedom and everything so it’s totally fine.
Oh, it’s good. People come to my house and they if they can, you know, stay for one month, that’s totally fine. Oh wow, yeah. So we gotta go down from here. Oh wow.
[laughter] Can’t even see the road. That’s very steep. Yes, that’s a little steep but I’m used to this. [laughter] That, eh, onto your left side,
Yeah? that’s my eh, wife’s father. Oh, your wife’s father, yeah? My father in law and to your left, eh your right side that’s my father. Your father? Ah, okay. Yeah, that’s it. So the big family living here? Not actually, my father in law he is living in Kahawatta but today. Ah, okay. He’s coming to visit? Yeah just for visit.
Ah, okay. They know I’m coming? No? Yeah.
Oh, they know. Oh, you told them? Okay, so it’s not a surprise. Introduce. My name is Dale. Pleased to meet you. Hi, my name is Dale. Pleased to meet you. Ah, pleased to meet you. You her father? Yeah, yeah.
Ah, okay, good, yeah. Now I’m injured. And now okay? Now okay? Now, not okay, not okay. [laughter] I’m still alive. Ah.
Yeah. Let’s go inside.
Okay. See you. I’m being treated well. I got cake. This is gonna make me happy. This is gonna put a smile on my face. It’s okay for me to film inside? You don’t have anything you don’t want anyone to see? Okay. So they’ve offered go give me their bedroom so that I don’t have to walk up and down the steps, which is very, very generous. So this is where I’m gonna be staying. Lovely. Very cozy. I’ll be very comfortable here. Very nice. Okay. Your bedroom is now on YouTube. I said your bedroom is now on YouTube. [laughter] [laughter] Your bedroom is famous. Oh, it has bathroom as well. Yeah, yeah. Oh wow. That’s why it will be easy for you. Oh, easy for me. Oh. Your generosity is so amazing. It’s totally fine. Don’t mention it. So amazing. It’s great. Take the bag back there. Oh, okay. Great. Keep it here. That’s fantastic. I will just, I think, lie in bed and and maybe edit some videos. Oh yes, sure, that’s the best thing to do and we have WiFi I think better than whatever, the megabytes, I think 140 megabytes or something like that? Per second? Megabits. Megabits? Well that’s still very big. I didn’t expect you to have such good internet here in a remote little place. We have fibre. You have fibre? Okay, here? You have fibre? Wow. Sri Lanka is developed, advanced. Yeah, in that area it’s really developed. Ah, good. Telecommunications and stuff. Ah good. Yeah, okay, I will lie down now. Okay, okay, thank you. I was in, down south, Brighton. Ah, down south, Brighton. Oh good. This is like seaside town, right? Yeah seaside. It’s famous for fish and chips. You get the best fish and chips in Brighton. Yeah, you do, yeah and like proper beaches. Oh good. You have a very soft English accent. I see. You studied there, right? Yeah I was there for two years. Ah, okay. By my study. You can tell when someone has studied there for one year or two years because they are speaking so clear with the accent and everything. I know, I know, yeah. Ah, that’s good. So how can I help you today? Ah, so I fell and kinda like rolled my ankle. Okay. So I fell on, like, this part and It twisted? It just turned really sharply. You didn’t hear any noises? I was walking along the railway tracks and it was very noisy anyway, so. But it’s now all swollen here. Swollen here.
Yeah. And if I even stand up it’s excruciatingly painful and to walk is like. No pain, right? Still a little bit where your hand here is pushing, yeah. Ow, ow, ow. So sorry.
I’m feeling it there again. Okay.
Yeah We go other way now. No pain on this side? Some here?
Yeah. Well okay, it looks like you tore the ligament. Have a partial, not complete. Ah, okay. Yes and the bones are fine. They’re not broken or anything. Okay. It’s only the ligament, right. So, ah, it will be sore for a couple of days. Sore for a couple of days? Yes, couple of weeks, maybe two weeks. It will take about roughly four to six weeks to completely heal it. During that time you do some kind of immobilisation for the ankle. Like maybe a brace. Maybe a plaster. Plaster? Maybe like a walking book, like a any, whichever is convenient for you. Alright? Weight bearing, like, for maybe next for a week, you should not, I would not, yeah, I would not put weight on the foot, alright? Maybe use a pair of crutches for that. And then as the pain goes off you get like put partial weight and gradually you can improve. Okay, good. Because if you start putting on weight the ligament and broken parts, they will like, you know pull apart each time you put weight, the stresses and it’s not going to heal. Right, okay. Okay, you keep your leg still and then it will heal quite quickly. Okay, so the most important thing is mobilisation. That’s right, yes. This one come in the front. Okay, good. Must feel really comfortable, no?
Yeah. [laughter] Thank you, thank you. So you have a whole team around you to take care of you. Yeah, good. My team. [laughter] Okay, nice to see you.
Okay, oh, it was fantastic. Thank you very much.
Nice seeing you. Okay, this is for the pharmacy? That’s right. Okay, good. Thank you. Bye. Okay, bye. Thank you. Look at this. He has a crutch in his home. It’s very useful, considering that this is wrapped up. So, this is mine to borrow. Oh great. So I don’t have to hop around. That’s great. Fantastic. Ah, you have to adjust the height. Have to adjust the height? It’s too high. Okay, that’s much easier. That’s much easier than hopping. Yeah.
Okay. So I won’t have two different sized legs from only hopping on one leg. [laughter] Yes. Okay, good. Enjoy this family dinner. Good morning. And some good fresh air coming through this window but this is the nearest I’m gonna see, today, of beautiful green Sri Lankan nature. Today, I had planned on going walking through some rural village or something like that. But instead, just walking to the bathroom is a huge mission for me. Ah, yeah, I’m pretty sad about all the adventures I’m gonna be missing out on this week and I guess you guys will be sad because you’re missing out on probably like ten videos worth of content. But nothing I can do, except rest up. And I’m just happy that I’m being well looked after by this lovely Sri Lankan family. They’ve gone out their way to make sure that I’m comfortable and well fed. So, yeah, nothing more to do than just wait for this to heal. Okay, so Ravi’s father has just cut up a durian. So I’m gonna try that. It’s on the table here, right? Okay. Here it is. I try this. And how do I eat? I just like suck from the stone? Okay. Okay, so this fruit’s famous for having a bad, or funky smell and but also for tasting delicious, so here goes. It’s nice, it’s nice. Yeah, it is nice. Mm. Yeah, I dunno how to describe it. I dunno how to describe the flavour. How would you describe the flavour? If you had to describe the flavour. I cant say. Can’t say, yeah. It’s impossible to describe. You just have to try it for yourself I think. Very nice. Okay, he has given me almost this whole fruit to eat by myself. Which is very nice because I know that these are very expensive, these, and very much a delicacy. Well it’s day 3 and I’ve woken up to this amazing looking brunch. Ravi, can you tell me everything that is here? So this is sambol, right? Ah yeah, that’s pol sambol and you have dahl. Dahl, okay, from lentils, right? Yeah.
Yeah. And then this is chicken. Chicken. And then you have soya meat. Oh this soya? Okay. And this is some mushrooms.
This is mushrooms. Okay, and rice. Very nice. Very healthy breakfast. Thank you. You’re welcome. Okay, so it’s Day 3. More than 48 hours since I did my injury. And this amazing Sri Lankan family still looking after me. They’ve given me rambutan fruits chocolate biscuits, bowls of ice cream. They’re bringing me everything to make sure I’m comfortable. And I’m just lying here on the bed with my laptop. And they have fibre optic internet, which is great. As for, as for this injury, well you can see, that’s my skinny foot, that’s my fat foot. Underneath there it’s all bruised up. But now, fortunately I can stand. I can put half, I can put half of my weight on it and I can kinda like shuffle around. Like this. I just can’t walk properly because I can’t put my full weight on it but hopefully soon. Hopefully soon, a few more days, I’ll have some independence. Be able to start walking again. More durian. This one’s smelling stronger and tasting stronger. Ravi, you’re not a fan, right? No? Never I will try to eat. Never? [laughter] Come on, I tried once and I almost puked. Yeah. I can’t stand it. For me, like I don’t like the smell but the taste is pretty nice. Ah, look at his face. [laughter] Are you sure you don’t wanna try? Yeah, yeah, I’m pretty sure. Okay, Day 4. Still making a little bit of progress each day. Now I’m able to stand on my own two feet and kinda shuffle around, like this, without too much pain. I’m still choosing to use the crutch though because, yeah, hopefully it’ll heal faster if I just, like I don’t use it so much. But you can still see how fat this is, compared to my skinny . Skinny foot, fat foot. It’s still, pretty swollen, and the bruising. Okay, it’s Day 5 now and yer man is still making progress. Now, I’m able to walk with bigger strides. As you can see, I can walk by pushing from the heel of my foot with not much pain at all. I just can’t walk normally by pushing from my toes. That is excruciating when I do that but today is the day, or rather tonight is the night that I’m finally gonna take my first steps out of this house. We’re planning on going into Kandy town to eat a meal. So that will be nice. Okay. I’ve been in this house for five days and this is the first time I’m actually seeing the downstairs. Hey guys. [laughter] wow. Oh, you have so much space. Yes. Yep.
Wow. So this kind of our, you could call it our studio, right? Oh wow, you’ve got three monitors. Yes.
[laughter] That’s nice. All connected together. Wow. Ah, we have space. Yeah, so Ravi’s a 3D animator, like CG artist, right? So this is, you’re freelance, so this is your office basically. Yeah, this little space I do everything and I earn my living. That’s nice. And you have so much space here. Yeah, that’s for the movies we watch and we have the projector there.
Oh wow. We should ah. I was gonna say, you should have like a pool table or something here but this is your movie theater. Yes. Massive speakers. And the same time I have my home theater projector. Wow. This is one of the characters that I did for a Japanese movie. This idea is like he could, you know, blow, huge, I can’t actually explain it well because, eh, kind of a very powerful wind through his mouth.
Really? This is what your Japanese clients requested, right? Yeah.
That he should be able to do this thing. I have to clarify it. I am not responsible for the design of the character, I mean I am the one who is responsible for the modeling and so. Oh, wow. So this is like, This is him with. This is it, textures. The character that you saw earlier. So this is the one with the wind tongue. Yeah, the funny mouth. Why are you licking me? Hey, why you licking me? Hey, hey. hey, hey. [laughter] That’s the boy? That’s the stupid one, right? Yeah, that’s the stupid one. Yeah. You could see, don’t push her belly. They’re Dachshunds. And one of them, the girl, is pregnant. She has babies. And this is, oh, he’s interested in Dale. No, he’s interested in the Lion. He’s showing off his lion. Oh it’s very, you have a very nice lion. That’s beautiful. What are you doing to it? You’re eating it? Don’t try that with a real lion. Can I play with you? No. No, I guess, I guess not. I guess the answer is no. [laughter] Okay, we came for a family dinner at this Global Kitchen, global food. Okay family. [laughter] Okay, good. Thank you. Okay, let’s see how good we look. Oh wow, this looks very good. Very nice, yes. You’re hiding Ravi’s mother. Look, look, she is hiding you. She, her head is in. We need, can we do again? She’s taking you away. She says that I am very [inaudible]. Really? Okay, again, again, again. Okay, let’s check it this time. Hopefully this one is good. Let’s see. Oh, oh yeah, it’s much better. Is it good? Yep, it’s much better, right? Much much better. [laughter] She’s telling that. What? You don’t like? It’s good right? Okay good. Okay, so what are we all eating? Dale is eating, eh, American calamari, Mexican / Indian tacos, you’re eating some kind of Indian rice dish. Your wife is eating macaroni and cheese? Something like that. Looks like macaroni and cheese. I can’t remember the name. Some kind of pasta, and again, Indian. Okay, Day 6. I’ve woken up with a lot of pain in my ankle. It’s probably a bad idea starting to walk too early yesterday, so I’m back to pretty much getting around with this crutch and just taking small steps. But today we were planning on going to the market and buying ingredients to make a very special Sri Lankan meal but look at this. Non stop rain since last night. So it’s pretty much a write-off. Hurting? No, it’s okay. I’m good. Oh is this where your doggies live? [laughter] Yeah. Both of them live in here? Sorry? Both of them live in here together? Eh, yeah. Hello. He’s a little sad. I mean the big one. The big one’s sad? Why? Ah, because eh, because eh, the other one is pregnant Yeah. and all the attention is going Ah, okay.
[laugher] there. Maybe I’ll give him a little, a little petting. Huh, you trying to bite me? He is excited because, eh. I see your teeth. Oh, you trying to bite me? No, [laughter]. Don’t be bad.
He’s playing with you. He playing with me?
Yeah. I hope so. [laughter] Doesn’t look like he’s playing with me. Let me pet you. I want to stroke your head. Why you trying to bite my hand? Let me pet you. Ow. Ow. Did it hurt? No, just, he’s playing, right? If he really wanted to bite me I would not have a finger left. He just, eh, he doesn’t want to be petted.
The thing is that he doesn’t know how to bite, I mean. Oh really? From the small age we, you know, like we pet him so much and now he’s like that. Always playful and [laughter]
Yeah. jumping around. Ah, so I can’t pet you? Really, I can’t pet you? Now you can I think. He was just
Really? excited
Just playing with me? just seeing you and now he’s okay. Let’s see. Oh, are you coming too? Hello. I wanna pet you. You smelling me? Oi. [laughter] Okay, I’ll give you one last chance to be petted and that’s it. Look, hello, my hand is here. I’m not surprising you. No, no, that’s it. Last chance. I gave you three chances. You get three chances, that’s it. Let’s see if I can manage these steps. Careful. Okay, I’m gonna be very careful. Oh, so you’ve used some tyres to make steps? That’s pretty cool. Oh, so what’s happening here? Em. Your father is growing this or what?
Yeah, yeah, yeah. He’s retired. Yeah. For now like two and a half years and he’s so bored, This is what he spends his time doing? Yeah. I seen him there collecting the coconuts. Those are coconuts that he’s planted? He’s planted the trees?
Yes. So we have like maybe ten or twelve coconut trees. Ah, cool. And enough for us to you know, for us and for our cooking and all those things. Yeah, cool. Yeah and have you seen this? What is this?
This structure. Looks like it’s for bees or something, right? Nope. Ants?
It was made by a kind of ants. Really, so ants made this whole thing? Yes. Wow. How big are the ants? If you get a little bit closer. Oh, see them. I see the tiny little ants here. Yeah. I don’t know if these are. Wow, there’s loads. I can see them all crawling around. You don’t think these are the ones that made it? I’m not sure if these are the ones who made the structure. And people, you know, consider this structure as kind of a hazard. Because you know, most of the time ants build this but, you know, these snakes, they kind of come here into these. It’s a nice home for them? Yeah, yeah. It’s a nice home for them. So you’re just, if you have one of these it’s like you’re inviting snakes “come here, come here, come live in my garden.”
Yeah, yes. So people, just, you know, break these things and.
Pull them down. They will break them down but my father he is he’s so, so friendly with animals so he he try not to. Ah, just break stuff, like? Homes, invade their living space.
Just let nature take it’s course. No, once there was a huge snake here, okay. I mean not here. He was living somewhere there. It’s a she, okay. She was living somewhere there. And in the morning, about like 6 am, or 7 am, you could see she comes out of her resting place and she will be sunbathing. Okay? It’s a huge snake the size of my hand. And my father will be like doing his work here, the snake is there. Just letting it sit there, yeah? His philosophy is like, if you don’t interfere with their lives, they’re not going to hurt you. So, simple as that. Nice. Amazingly, it works. So, this is my friend. Oh, hi. He’s like planted trees all along. Mm hmm. That’s pretty cool. And we have the well, down here. You don’t have to go there, I mean it’s, that terrain is really rough. So that’s how you’re getting a lot of the water, from? Yeah. From there.
I’d say 90% of our water comes from this well. It’s natural, fresh and that’s the water I’ve been drinking, right? Yeah. Oh, nice. Your tummy didn’t give you any problem, right? No, my tummy’s been fine. And these are the ones that grow into huge ones. So it starts from this and it grows into that massive thing over there? Yeah. Wow. How long does that take? Like a year or something? No, I don’t think so. Really? They’re fast workers. Yeah. So, usually, she’s. Aw, now you’re letting me pet you, aren’t you? Now you’re a good boy. Now you’re a good boy. Oh yeah. Okay, so I came in through this door hopping. And now I’m walking. Out with my own two feet. Good, uh? I was gonna say goodbye to the doggies. But they’re sleeping, right? I think they’re sleeping. I will just leave them. They in their bed, right? Okay, bye, bye doggies. Well, that’s it. My week long trip to Sri Lanka, over. And this, this car journey, the most I’ve actually seen of Sri Lanka the whole week [laughter]. Ravi is now driving me to Kandy city centre where I’m gonna get a Pick Me taxi to the airport in Colombo. Like about three hours drive away. And that’s it. I’m just gonna go back now to Thailand and relax for a few weeks at least to recover from this ankle injury, so don’t expect any videos from there, or maybe I’ll do one or two that don’t require me going adventuring or doing much walking. We’ll see. But yeah, it’s not exactly how I thought I would spend my week in Sri Lanka but it’s still quite a cool experience, isn’t it, like staying with a local family for a week. So that was nice and they were really nice to me and I thank them very, very much and yeah, I hope you guys enjoyed this video. It’s obviously very different from the kind of videos I’ve made in the past so I dunno if anybody’s actually made it this far in the video, but if you have, thank you very much guys. Thanks for everything. It was amazing. I mean, I’m happy you had a great time. Yeah, it was awesome. I mean we had a good time.
I enjoyed all I enjoyed all the rest on your comfy bed. Was it comfy?
