Unequally Yoked | What To Do When Your Husband Isn’t On The Same Spiritually Level | Dr. Doug Weiss

Dr. Doug Weiss shares steps you can take
to get past trauma and betrayal in your relationships. From Arkansas, she said I’m born again,
so is my husband, but I feel like we’re on two different levels spiritually. She says I really believe in the fullness
of the Holy Spirit, he does not think that is relevant. What do you do when your husband
is not in agreement with you on Biblical things? You knew this before you married him. There’s no way he hid that from you. And so you made a choice to marry a man
who disagrees with you theologically. But what if they were both the same
and then later on she came into the fullness? Well even so, she’s married,
and you’ve moved on spiritually. God gave you the revelation and
maybe your husband doesn’t share the revelation. You know, you love him, you serve him, you
bless him, you engage him, and don’t make this
the biggest issue in your marriage. You know, decide which hills you’re going
to die on. You don’t die on the fullness of the spirit. What you want to do is you want to
show him by your manifestations of prophecy and words of knowledge and compassion
and power that you operate in. And ease him into the fullness of God. You do not have to preach him into the fullness
of God. I was going to say, one of the things you
can do, for your husband,
say you may not be on the same level spiritually, but you have the opportunity to love him,
to serve him, to respect him, honor him, cook a meal for him and let the fruits of
the spirit be so evident in your life,
that he gets hungry for what you have. Not saying, I’ve got something and you don’t. I mean, I just know with this man right here,
if I do all of those things, he is happy happy happy. Yeah, right. So I mean, it’s just, don’t fight that. Serve with that power. Serve and love, respect and honor. A man will do all kinds of things for you. Oh yeah yeah yeah. My sweetheart is amazing,
but when I’m doing all those things, he’s even more amazing. That’s right. Aww, that’s so sweet.

  • Would if you would just rather be single again? Would if the marriage is just too hard and unpleasant and all you want is out. I feel bad because I am a Christian but it is how I feel. The Lord sees this truth in me. I cannot hide from him.
