USF Nursing Summer 2016 Pinning Ceremony

USF Nursing Summer 2016 Pinning Ceremony

It’s the day that everyone’s been dreaming
of, so it feels really good to finally be here and know that all of the hard work is
over. Pinning is that moment where it’s just kind
of like, we finally made it guys. (Room Noise) This pinning ceremony is what
I’ve had in my head this whole time, and I just need to get there, I just need to get
there. It really signifies that you’re entering
the profession. You went from a student, now to transitioning
to a professional career. As we watch the students proceed to their
seats, you notice that the path was lit by some of the alumni of the USF College of Nursing. The path of light is an important part of
our pinning tradition and is symbolic of the graduating students’ entrance into the nursing
profession. I’m proud to be graduating from USF, but
I’m even prouder to be graduating alongside some of the brightest and most wonderful people
I’ve ever known. I can’t wait to see what you all do with
your nursing careers and the impact you’ll have on your patients in the health care field. We all get to come together one last final
time, wish each other good luck, and we’ll see each other again in the future. (Room Noise)
