Leisuredays Review of the Omar Anniversary Park Home

The Anniversary park home from Omar Park homes in Brandon, Suffolk was launched last year to celebrate the company’s
impressive 50th year in business. An award-winning home it brings a new
concept in layout and interior design. The distinctive exterior has a bright and welcoming feel with its boxed out uPVC windows, pale blue
cladding quality guttering and downpipes, and a feature front door housed under a recessed roof door mount. Let’s go inside and take a look around. As we enter the hallway, Omar provided a
simple niche with a padded seat above the storage cupboard and room for your coats. Entering the lounge through the double doors, you’re immediately struck by the light airy space made so
by the three huge windows on the vaulted ceiling. Furniture included with the
anniversary are a twin seat sofa, two freestanding arm chairs and a feature fireplace with
Flamerite Palermo fire and pebbles and a Portland stone effect surround all set
into an impressive oak mantelpiece. Other furniture includes a coffee table, a lamp table and a rather nice side board. Fabrics includes scatter cushions in Berwick style
along with attractive fully lined curtains, which are hung on chrome rods,
contemporary light fittings and high quality switches and sockets complete what is a a warm comfortable and elegant space in which to relax. Flexibility of space is the
way with the Anniversary and the lounge and kitchen can be made open plan by opening the single and
three folding doors The smart contemporary kitchen has an L
shape layout, plenty of pendant lighting and in this arrangement is also a dining room. There are plenty of wall cupboards, a large filtered extractor hood and the walls are finished in an easy-to-clean random pattern of beige and brown tiles.
The centre piece has to be a Belling range cooker in cream with four burner gas hob and a central watt burner with a large double oven. The Axiom citrine worktops are wide and plentiful and have ivory Vienna storage units below. There is a Corian sink with an arch chrome mixer tap which is set in front
of the window in the usual way. Appliances include an integrated
full-size family dishwasher, a fridge freezer and a washing machine. Hi-spec socket and switches have been
used, all of which blends seamlessly into the overall decor. The combi boiler used to generate hot water for the Anniversary’s sinks, showers and central heating is
also located in an easy to maintain cupboard in the kitchen. Just off this kitchen and taking up a corner of the home is a superb sun room. Huge floor to ceiling windows to each exterior wall and the skylight coupled with a sumptuous sofa and freestanding tub chair would make this an absolutely ideal place to relax, unwind and watch the sun go down with a glass
of wine after a long day on the beach. Returning now to the hallway – just off here’s a small but nicely appointed study, fully fitted with the Shaker style units in cream and a swivel office chair, the study is wired for 21st century communications and is just the place to
do a bit of homework, send out some emails or even do your accounts. The door off the central corridor leads you into the guest bedroom. A centrally positioned bed with sumptuous padded headboard has plenty of shelf storage on both sides, intergral power
sockets and down lighters in the niche above. Each bedroom has hessian backed fitted carpets, co-ordinated bed sets scatter cushions and fully lined
curtains making the room very comfortable. Crossing the corridor brings you to the
family shower room. This is a bright clean space with a future mosaic wall, a huge
walk-in shower with thermostatically controlled fittings, big hand basin
with storage underneath and a contemporary double flushing toilet. Quality fixtures and fittings are a real
talking point of the Anniversary The piece de resistance of the Anniversary has to be its master bedroom which has an inspired layout. The huge king size bed is positioned as a
walk around island in the centre of the room and has integrated bedside niches as well as flexible reading lights. The bedroom has a vanity unit with a large mirror with storage for plenty of bits and pieces and a stool but there’s more… The back of the bed is a dressing area, with double chests of drawers and a spacious tabletop on which you could even do your ironing. Large L shaped wardrobes have sliding doors. At the foot of the bed is a wall niche that
has been specifically designed for a flat panel television and has been pre-wired for this purpose. Patio doors have a Juliet balcony
which is a nice romantic touch. And all curtains and soft furnishings are of the
same high quality to those in the rest of the home. Just off the bedroom is the ensuite bathroom with it’s full length bath. Quality fittings, a second walk in shower, a heated towel rail come radiator and of course a toilet. There’s also a stylish hand basin and storage in this well appointed room. We think the Anniversary is a wonderful, warm and bright home that is more than just a space to live in. With a well thought out design, some unusual features and top quality specification in materials and standard of build it also provides flexibility in how you choose to live.
